Dental implants
Dental implants are the single most important advance in modern dentistry.
Implants are a form of prosthetic that attaches more permanently and more naturally than dentures, using specially prepared titanium posts that bond directly to the jaw. The process results in a highly secure and comfortable replacement for natural teeth.
While in graduate school, Dr. Thoms received three years of advanced training in the planning and restoration of implants during the pioneering years of esthetic implant surgery. She has remained on the leading edge since then and has been recognized as an authority on dental implants throughout her career.
She has taught the subject in the University of Washington’s graduate Prosthodontics program since 1993.
